The Clerk maintains criminal court records for the Common Pleas Court. This includes felony cases, civil litigation over $15,000, domestic relations cases, and 12th District Court of Appeals records. The CourtView portal provides 24/7 online access to case dockets and indexes. You can search by case number, party name, filing date, or case type. Each record shows charges, arraignment dates, plea info, hearing schedules, and sentencing details. Documents filed before 2000 may not be fully digitized and could need an in-person request.
Uncertified copies cost $0.10 per page. Certified copies have extra fees set by Ohio Revised Code. Payment is accepted by cash, check, or money order. The office may ask for prepayment on requests that will cost more than $25. Under ORC 149.43, you do not need to give your name or a reason to request public records in Clinton County.

Clinton County Arrest Records and Sheriff

All service must go through traditional means.
Municipal court records follow state retention schedules. Most records are kept for defined periods before they can be archived or destroyed under ORC 1901.41. Sealed cases are not available to the public.
