The jail processes about 7,000 inmates per year. The average daily population is around 300 inmates. A Maximum Security Section opened in 1986 houses 128 inmates in single-cell rooms. Clermont County Common Pleas Criminal Cases

The Clermont County Common Pleas Court is at 270 East Main Street in Batavia. Phone is 513.732.7394. The court has three divisions. The General Division handles adult felonies, major civil cases, foreclosures, real estate matters, and injunctions. The Domestic Relations Division covers divorce, dissolution, child support, and parental rights. The Probate and Juvenile Division deals with estates, guardianships, adoptions, and juvenile matters.

The court posts Grand Jury reports on Tuesdays and Thursdays in PDF format. No reports go up on legal holidays. Sealed or secret indictments may cause a delay in posting. These reports show new criminal indictments handed down by the grand jury in Clermont County.

The Clermont County Domestic Relations Court also has a monthly Law Clinic held at the Clermont County Library Administration Building at 326 Broadway Street in Batavia. A volunteer attorney helps people who are representing themselves. The clinic runs from 9 AM to noon.

First and second-degree felonies, violent felonies, and sex offenses are not eligible for sealing in Ohio.
